FEATURED
Once a day (at 1 a.m. Paris time), one artist is chosen at random to be featured. To participate, you just need to have an account and register for the draw.
What is a battle?
Think of each battle as a mini talent contest. The connected person acts as judge to decide the winner among the two videos placed side by side in the battle. The winner is selected through the judge's vote.
Public vote
Public vote was introduced on May 30, 2025. This vote allows you to ask your friends and family to vote for you to contribute to your success. Public voting can improve your final score by up to 30% (depending on the number of votes and your score in the battles).
Why do I have to vote?
Before asking yourself why you should vote, ask yourself “Why should the people listen to an indie artist like you, when there are thousands of other indie artists and thousands of produced artists?
Also, consider that all the artists you're listening to right now were all indie at the start of their careers, and that almost all of them were revealed through competitions (and not thanks to a Sexy YouTube thumbnail). The only exceptions are people who were already known for other things before they started making music (e.g. actors, sportsmen), but this kind of exception generally leads to a short-lived career, with no recognized musical quality.
Competitions are therefore essential for discovering young talent, but there aren't enough of them (if there were, we wouldn't spend our time posting links in Facebook groups).
In traditional contests, there are always paid professional judges to listen to all the candidates, whereas here, we want to make a free contest, accessible to all independent artists. We hope to receive thousands and thousands of songs to listen to and judge.
So who's going to volunteer to listen to and judge thousands of independent artists, if not themselves? Therefore, all artists (including you) must vote without exception.
Rest assured: for each song posted, you'll need to vote around 50 times (to earn 100 coins) before entering the ranking. In return, your song will be proposed in 100 battles, and will then enter the rankings according to the score obtained.
What are coins for ?
Coins are used to ensure fair participation by each artist.
Each time you vote, you can earn up to two coins. These coins will be regularly used to upgrade your video, especially at the end of the battles, to display the score and enter the ranking list.
What does “battles in progress” mean?
The status “battles in progress” indicates that your video has started battles but has not yet completed the 100 battles required to enter the ranking.
